Mulberry Cove Marina

***Starting July 22, 2019 MWR’s Mulberry Cove Marina will work to repair its launch ramp. The project will commence by replacing the existing concrete and then expanding it to facilitate backing trailers down the ramp. To ensure customers have access to the river, repairs will only occur on one side of the ramp at a time. The beach area will remain open for kayaking and canoeing. Customers using the beach will be routed down the marina lawn and across the well-marked pedestrian crosswalk. This project is set to finish in December.***

The Mulberry Cove Marina, located on the south end of Ranger Road, along the banks of the beautiful St. Johns River, is a place where patrons can learn to sail, canoe and fish. It offers a wide array of rental equipment including kayaks, canoes, surfboards, stand up paddle boards, fishing kayaks and Flying Scot sailboats. Power boats include pontoon boats, Boston Whalers, 14-foot Trackers and Edgewater center consoles with fish finders. To rent a powerboat, a Florida Safe Boater card is required. The card is available free of charge online at www.boatus.org. Reservations for powerboats must be made in person with a $25 deposit. Tents, sleeping pads, cots, camp stoves, lanterns, large grills, coolers, turkey fryers, and much more are also available to rent.

The Ship's Store on the waterfront carries bait, ice, snacks, a variety of drinks, fishing licenses, fishing tackle, sunglasses, T-shirts, outdoor recreation knives, basic boat parts and various sundries to meet boating needs. The store also has unleaded ethanol free marine gasoline pier-side and a free boat ramp.

Slips, moorings and dry storage are available on a daily, monthly and yearly rental basis for the boat owner. At the slips, fresh water and 30/50 power is available. Live-aboards are permitted only on a temporary basis.

Sailing instruction classes and intramural sailboat races are available March through October. Surfing/stand up paddle board classes are available by appointment only.

Mulberry Cove Marina also provides many free services to organizations on and off base, such as the Chief's Mess, NJROTC and the Naval Sea Cadets.
